Sebastian Salas is a Senior Graphic Design Major with a minor in User Experience Design. He will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in May 2023. Sebastian is looking forward to growing and strengthening his design skills as he moves on in his graphic design career. He hopes to solve problems through modern-sophisticated design in both visual design and user experience design. Throughout college, Sebastian has been able to solidify his style. He enjoys keeping his work minimalistic and atmospheric. Aside from graphic design, he loves music and has a large passion for playing guitar. He hopes to be able to merge the love for design and music to be able to make band logos, merch, and album art. On top of that, Sebastian has held multiple leadership positions in the Theta Chi fraternity. These responsibilities have consisted of two terms of being Social Media Chair, a term of being the head of recruitment, and more. Overall Sebastian is dedicated and excited to see what the future holds for him.

Personal Journey
Here at Bradley I am a part of the fraternity Theta Chi, which I was in charge of leading recruitment for my fraternity. This fun infographic is based on recorded data from formal rounds, where incoming freshmen meet every social fraternities house. There are a number of data represented here such as: mood, people entered, sandwiches eaten, personalities, interests, and overall new recruits. I based my design and color palette off our fraternity colors and our recruitment theme.
Taco Bell Surface Graphics
In this fun design, I curated a to-go box in order to rebrand Taco Bell takeout boxes. I utilized Taco Bell’s current logo to keep it on brand. Going off of that, I pulled from Taco Bell's purple color to use that as the main color for the background. The rest of the colors are bold and festive to draw the attention of consumers. In the surface graphics, the box can be seen as individual parts of the box that come together, whereas the mockup is the box in its built formation

Smile in the Sun is a brand new underground band who wants to connect and heal those who are struggling with mental illness or those who enjoy music. Their style consists of a blend of shoegaze, experimental, and progressive rock. The band wanted me to design and brand their band, starting with a new logo. This logo is simple, playful, and relatable to those in the band's music scene. The colors are vibrant and contrast each other much like a horizon during a sunset. The logo also takes inspiration from that of shoegaze and dream pop art.
BBi Website
Bishop Bros Inc. is a designer and construction company who wants to work and build close relationships with other businesses in gaining a higher traffic of clients. This was a group based branding project that required a full redesign of the entire company brand. Being a UI/UX minor, I took on the responsibility of designing the company’s website. The website is easy to navigate with a modern design including all the content and information needed to learn and connect with Bishop Bros Inc.
Typography Posters
For this project, I was challenged to visually showcase the word “vacillate,” which represents indecisiveness. Each poster breaks down the word differently. The first poster focuses on the word as a whole. The second one divides the word into syllables. Lastly, the third one separates each letter. In each one of these posters, I carefully considered the definition to portray it through the designs. As for the style of the posters, I kept it minimalistic. In addition, I used a grey scale to further emphasize the idea of indecisiveness through different shades of grey.

Atmosphere Apparel Clothing App
Atmosphere Apparel was my take at designing and prototyping a clothing app. This was a project done my Sophomore year at Bradley, which taught the importance of UI/UX design. I enjoy fashion very much, and I wanted to create a clothing app that fits my aesthetic. The logo for the app is simple and recognizable, while the app itself is sophisticated, pleasing to look at, and easy to navigate.
